Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you may want to know before your stay. For any other question, just give us a call.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 11:00 and check-out is by 10:00. So that we can welcome our next guests on time with a spotless room, we kindly ask you to respect the check-out time; if it is exceeded, the accommodation fee for that day applies. If your plans change, just let our reception know in advance and we will do our best to help.

Where is the guesthouse and how far is it from Pamukkale?

Ulugut Pansiyon is located in Karahayıt, just beyond the Pamukkale travertines and famous for its healing thermal waters, right next to Karahayıt Mosque (a 1-minute walk). The UNESCO-listed Pamukkale travertines, the ancient city of Hierapolis and the Karahayıt Red Spring are only a few minutes away, so you can explore the region by day and enjoy thermal water in the evening.

Why is there a reddish colour in the bathtub?

The reddish colour is completely natural and comes from the thermal water itself. Karahayıt's water rises from underground at 42–58 °C and is rich in minerals, especially iron, which leave a reddish tint in the tub. The same minerals form the region's famous red travertines, while Pamukkale's cooler, calcium-rich water creates its white terraces. In other words, the colour in your tub is a sign that you are bathing in genuine thermal water.

Are the bathrooms disinfected?

Yes. Hygiene is our priority: bathrooms and bathtubs are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after every guest checks out, so you always arrive to a clean, ready bathroom.

What is provided in the in-room kitchen?

The kitchens in our rooms have a hob. A gas canister can be fitted on request for a fee, or you are welcome to bring your own. Kitchenware is not provided, so if you plan to cook, we recommend bringing the utensils you will need.

Is breakfast available?

We do not serve breakfast. However, there are lovely breakfast places right nearby and we will be happy to point you to them. You can also order from these places for delivery to your room.

Is there parking?

Yes. Free private parking is available on site for our guests, so you can leave your car with peace of mind.

Is a prepayment required and which payment methods are accepted?

Requests made through our website are pre-reservations and no payment is taken at this stage. Once we receive your request, we check availability and contact you. For confirming your reservation, prepayment and payment methods, please call our reception for details.

Is there a thermal pool and a Turkish bath?

Yes. We have a hot thermal pool, a cold pool and a Turkish bath. Starting in the hot pool and finishing with the hamam and the cold pool is the most enjoyable way to unwind after a day out. Thermal water also flows directly into the bathtubs of your room.
